The Knowles family has deep roots in Manatee County. So it was only natural that Executive Chef Rich Knowles was inspired to start a restaurant that his childhood friends & family could enjoy. After graduating from Manatee High School in Bradenton, Rich moved to Gainesville, Florida for college. Soon his culinary passion would lead him to Big Sky, Montana where he cooked under classically-trained chefs at the Timber’s Restaurant and the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club.
Chef Rich’s journey took him to Austin next, to assist in the opening of the iconic Bob’s Steak & Chop House. An opportunity arose to accept the Executive Chef position at Bradenton staple Ezra Cafe. Months later, Rich and his father, Dick Knowles, offered to buy the restaurant and transformed it into the culinary playground now known as enRich Bistro.

We’re proud to serve locally-sourced food, including vegetables from the Geraldson Family Farm, Gamble Creek Farm, and O’Brien Family Farms; Daikin Dairy products; and fresh seafood caught in the Gulf of Mexico.
